ABOUT RICK
Rick is a seasoned executive and strategic operator with more than 20 years of experience across established enterprises and entrepreneurial businesses in consumer products, marketing, media, and technology.
His career has taken him well beyond the traditional boundaries of finance, with leadership responsibilities spanning strategy, operations, organizational development, and business growth. That breadth has shaped his ability to see how the different parts of a business connect, recognize what needs attention, and bring people together to move the organization forward.
Over nearly 15 years helping build Marxent, now 3D Cloud, Rick played an integral role in its evolution from an early-stage technology company into an enterprise platform. Along the way, he helped build the teams, operating infrastructure, and organizational discipline needed to support growth.
His approach combines strategic perspective, practical execution, and a belief that strong businesses are built through empowering its people, establishing financial discipline, and creating the organizational structure needed to execute.
PERSPECTIVE
Business challenges rarely exist in isolation. A financial issue may be rooted in operations. A hiring problem may actually be a capacity issue. A growth opportunity may require changes to systems, processes, or organizational structure before the business is ready to pursue it.
Rick approaches these challenges by looking beyond the immediate problem to understand how the different parts of the business influence one another. He challenges assumptions, brings together perspectives from across the organization, and focuses on identifying the underlying issues before determining a path forward.
From there, the focus shifts to execution: making informed decisions, establishing priorities, addressing obstacles, and ensuring the organization has a clear path forward.

DECADES OF EXPERIENCE
Rick's career spans more than two decades across established enterprises and entrepreneurial businesses, giving him firsthand experience with the challenges of operating organizations at different stages of growth.
His early experience at Catalina Marketing, Cott Beverages, and Cox Target Media provided a foundation in complex business environments, where financial performance, operational execution, and organizational alignment are closely connected.
Over nearly 15 years at Marxent, now 3D Cloud, Rick helped build an early-stage technology company into an enterprise platform. As the business evolved, so did his responsibilities—extending across financial leadership, capital strategy, business operations, organizational development, and the systems needed to support growth.
Throughout that journey, he worked alongside leadership teams to navigate changing business priorities, build organizational capabilities, and make the decisions required to move the company forward.
Today, Rick brings that experience to SKUx, continuing his work at the intersection of business strategy, operations, and financial leadership.

Executive leadership & scale
At 3D Cloud, Rick's responsibilities extended across HR, finance, and operations. He built and led teams, established accountability, and developed the organizational structure needed to support growth. That included bringing fragmented operations under one roof, improving coordination across functions, and giving people greater ownership of decisions and results.
Rick understands that business performance depends on how well its different functions work together. At 3D Cloud, he strengthened FP&A, formalized revenue operations, and connected sales pipeline, workforce planning, and delivery capacity—giving leadership a clearer picture of performance, operational constraints, and emerging risks.
Scaling a business requires balancing opportunity with resources, execution, and long-term sustainability. Through capital raises, acquisitions, global partnerships, and organizational growth, Rick helped guide decisions about where to invest, how to build capacity, and when to prioritize discipline over speed—while keeping customer experience and business performance in view.

2025
TITAN 100
Tampa Bay
Although never the objective, Rick's leadership and contributions to business growth, organizational development, and the Tampa Bay business community have earned recognition throughout his career.
BUILT ON RELATIONSHIPS
Beyond his executive roles, Rick has remained actively involved with founders, business leaders, and emerging companies through advisory relationships, mentoring, and strategic collaboration.
He brings a practical, firsthand understanding of the challenges businesses face as they grow, evolve, and navigate important decisions. His interests extend across business strategy, organizational leadership, operational growth, and opportunities to help build and strengthen companies.
Rick values relationships with people who are building meaningful businesses and welcomes conversations with founders, executives, investors, and business owners who share that perspective.
BEYOND THE BOARDROOM
Rick's interest in building doesn't stop with the companies he works for. He has spent years mentoring founders and emerging businesses through Tampa Bay Wave, offering the kind of practical perspective that comes from having worked through many of the same questions himself.
He's also deeply involved in the Tampa Bay community, including his work with 813 Elite Track & Field, and is usually more interested in being useful than being visible.
Outside of work, you'll usually find him on his mountain bike or somewhere near the water. The setting changes, but the instinct doesn't: stay curious, keep moving and don't overcomplicate things.
“Show up prepared. Do the work. Be kind to people. Treat people with respect.”
